I just got back from a 3 day retreat with my business coach Jill (check her out, she’s amazing) and 3 other brilliant women doing big things. 

It was so nourishing, so needed, and so crazy that this was my first retreat since 2018 🤯

Just to de-influence you for a sec, travelling Southeast Asia is magical, but it also involves things like not being able to get a ride from the grocery store and having to walk home with a cart full of groceries on busy streets with no sidewalks while your 6-year-old screams at you that “YOU STOLE DAT CART” 😂

The tea: what happens during a 3-day Power & Money retreat in paradise

A whooole lotta connecting with your future self, that’s what!  

Who is she? How does she lead herself? What does her business look like? 

Easy peasy. The hard part is identifying what that version of yourself prioritizes, no longer tolerates, and the moves she needs to make to inch closer to that idealized self. 

Visualization is after all, only half the battle. 

But it’s the half that many of us skip because it feels “too woo” or too far away.

The power in it comes from suspending disbelief and activating emotion. 

^^An underrated business strategy if you ask me. 

Nothing meaningful comes from neutral. 

When you know what you want, even if you’re totally unclear how to get it, the FEELINGS of hope, possibility, and motivation drive you to figure it out. 

Feelings are fuel regardless of what side of the emotional spectrum they fall on. 

Negativity bias wants us firmly rooted on the side where action is inspired by fear. But your most magnetic future self doesn’t operate that way…at least I discovered that mine doesn’t. 

Woe is me spirals be gone! 

My coach loves to ask “if you could only ever win, what would you do? What would you let yourself want?” 

It’s a killer prompt for someone who’s mostly focused on what they know they don’t want (🙋‍♀️). 

In this season of my business I want to be a living breathing example of what it looks like to operate on your own terms. 

I want spaciousness and freedom of choice and aliveness in what I teach and coach on. 

If it’s not a F yes, it’s a no. Full stop.

Something that landed for me at the retreat when we dug into the HOW behind our goals was that the only real obstacle at this stage is moi. 

It’s no longer a skill set, or lack of support, or the market, or anything else apart from the internal limitations I place upon myself. 

What’s your TRUE obstacle? The one thing that if that bottleneck was removed, everything else would flow? 

Perhaps the biggest breakthrough of the whole retreat was the decision to go all-in on teaching anti-social marketing strategies and how to build a social media optional business. 

I’ve experimented with many different directions over the last year and this one feels like it has the most potential right now.
