Creativity, memes & the myth of “shiny” - Chanti Zak - Copywriter & Funnel Strategist

Estimated read time: 3 mins

Remember how I decided to create something (anything) for my business every single day for 75 straight?

I called it 75 CREATE (like 75 HARD but for business owners) and some of you even joined in the fun!

My main goal was to get in the habit of posting on IG because ya girl already has the habit for email and lots of other areas of my business.

The challenge wrapped in March…and the minute it did, my feed went quieter than a toddler plotting mischief 🙃

I’ve spent the past few weeks replaying the whole experiment: what sparked joy, what worked, what didn’t, and why the dopamine crash hit so hard once I hit “publish” on day 75.

Spoiler → the biggest takeaways had nothing to do with the algorithm and everything to do with mindset, momentum, and memes.

Keep reading for the unfiltered rundown.

What you’ll learn in this article:

🍵💲 Why 75 straight days of posting didn’t turn into piles of cash — but was still worth it.

🍵💲 The “nobody cares” paradox (and why that can set you free)

🍵💲 How to keep creating when you feel duller than a dishcloth

The Tea: 11 things 75 CREATE slapped me awake to 👇

  1. Nobody cares. And that’s…liberating. Post the thing, run the experiment, wear the pineapple pajamas on camera. The internet has the attention span of a goldfish on cold brew.
  2. People forget fast. Yesterday’s carousel is today’s digital dust. Re-share, repurpose, repeat. Your A+ idea deserves more than one lonely debut.
  3. 75 days wasn’t enough. The habit seeds sprouted, but the roots aren’t deep yet. I’m gearing up for another round because momentum hates a pause button.
  4. Creativity is currency. Spend it all on client work and there’s nothing left for your own enrichment account. (Ask me how I know 💁‍♀️)
  5. Consistency is a group project. Showing up daily felt lighter because other creators were sweating right beside me. To those who participated, ilu 💚
  6. “Shiny-self” syndrome is real. I avoid the camera on bad hair days and I avoid writing and sharing on bad brain days. Problem: it’s part of life. My hack for ticking the box when I’m inspired…
  7. Memes. Funny enough my top posts pretty consistently have been low-lift meme dumps I made in bed at 10 p.m. Humor > over-polished any day.

(Psst… Head over here for the latest one)
  8. AI = built-in expert squad. My little GPT army drafts hooks, repurposes, transcribes sound-bites. Helps me get over my mind trash.

There are really zero excuses for you or I to not be showing up consistently.

I say this having ghosted my socials for weeks after my last launch wrapped 🫣
  9. Another IG-growth course ≠ the answer. I’m embarrassed by just how many courses and templates I have on this topic that I’ve never touched.

I think most of us live and breathe content and we don’t need more education, we need to just sit our butts down and PLAY.

That said, one resource I have been loving is Abigail Puegh’s Rich Girl Membership because she sends out AMAZING content prompts for every single day of the week.
  10. Most content still takes me for-e-ver. If I have a heavy client workload or am in creation mode in other aspects of my business, social is the first thing to fall because it is still time consuming to create good content.
  11. Social ≠ sales machine (yet). The challenge didn’t spike revenue. Email still drives 90% of my income. I’m doubling down there while I learn to convert memes into cash 😅

Any time I made a straight sales post the response was worse than crickets.
