Supppp superstar!?
Happy March.
This month 6 years ago, my world changed forever. My little dude was born, and suddenly I had a reason to step outside of my comfort zone and make my own rules.
I stopped making people’s tastebuds tingle for a living and started my online business (and I did it without B-School – do I get a medal?)
6 years doesn’t seem like a long time, does it?
To go from nothing but a laptop I paid for in tiny monthly installments and a marketing degree (brought to you by Pinterest) to a business where I get to work with really inspiring people on all different levels.
I had this *pinch me* moment right before Juno was born.
Melyssa Griffin’s team reached out to me for help with a quiz fueled launch, and I legitimately laughed out loud at the ‘full circle ness’ of it all. (You can take the quiz here, it’s pretty fun.)
I used to gobble up her content like it was chocolate covered almonds back when her brand was still The Nectar Collective — and here I was being asked to architect a launch for her?!
Can I tell you what helped me grow the most during those 6 years? (It’s probably not what you think)
Relationships. In love and business.
I know this is a “business” newsletter you’re subscribed to, but can we talk about love for a sec?
Having supportive people in your life who love the shit out of you and want to see you win is better than any 10k mastermind there is.
The moment I let go of draining, unhealthy relationships was the same moment I gave myself permission to grow.
But can I just say…

Business relationships are just as important. When I discovered the Copywriter Club, my brain finally felt at home.
Every investment I’ve ever made in masterminds or programs has paid for itself many, many times over. Especially anything facilitated by Kira and Rob.
Why?
Because I created meaningful relationships with the other members.
In a week, I’ll be at their annual TCC IRL event in San Diego, 4-month old baby in tow, because that’s just how I roll. (Will I see you there?)
If you’re like me and a little awkward when it comes to relationships, I recommend checking out Matthew Kimberley’s free guide 5 Things You Need To Do Every Morning To Make More Sales In The Next 60 Days.
On the outside, it looks like he’s gonna sell you some sales hack but the content is gold (and that’s coming from someone who very rarely ever reads a free guide cause to be frank, most of them suck).
This epic article on how to write Breakthrough-or-bust emails by Joanna Wiebe. Best practices aren’t always…. best. (as evidenced by these Sunday Setlist emails, which are very much NOT best practices as all I do is link to other people, ha.)
I told you last week I’d send you another quiz from one of my amazing Grow with Quizzes students. This one’s coming at ya from the one and only Ami Williamson — ready to find out what your unexpected advantage is? Head over here >>>
My unexpected advantage? I SHAKE IT UP.
(without biffing *most* of the time)
My week was mostly filled with sad tunes. My beloved doggo passed away last weekend, which meant plenty of Billie Eilish and classical compositions. This one is especially beautiful.
I hope you’re loving these Sunday Setlists as much as I love writing them, Friend!
Wishing you a week filled of good vibes, sunshine, and maybe a poke bowl? (eating one while I write this, highly recommend)
