Easy Yes Round 2: Launch Debrief - Chanti Zak - Copywriter & Funnel Strategist

Estimated read time: 4 mins

Ready for part deux ✌️of my Easy Yes launch debrief?

Last week I covered the hot mess mindset side of things, which side note: was probably the most polarizing email I’ve ever sent! Lots of love, hate, and everything in between.

This week is more practical — what worked, what didn’t, what I’d do differently next time, and more launch wisdom I hope you can directly apply to your own biz.

Let’s start sippin’ 🍵

What you’ll learn in this article:

🍵💲What didn’t work in this Easy Yes launch (and why I’m not beating myself up about it)

🍵💲What did work — including my favorite part of launching, always

🍵💲Mid year journal prompts I’m loving

The tea: A surprisingly un-chill “Kapha” launch & why launching in misaligned seasons rarely works out the way you think.

This time last year I wrote a launch debrief from the first time I ran Easy Yes (you can check it out here), in it I talked about something I call a “Kapha launch”.

Kapha is an ayurvedic dosha.

A dosha is a description of your constitution, inspired by the elements of earth, air, fire, and water.

We all have a blend of the doshas and our season of life can greatly influence which one is dominant.

While I can summon Pitta (fire) energy when I need it, my dominant dosha is Kapha.

Kapha people are calm, grounded, slow, and steady.

A Kapha launch = a chill, borderline lazy experience compared to what most people associate with launching.

^^The perfect style of launch for summer if you ask me! ☀️

But last year’s Kapha launch went a lot better than this one.

The #1 reason being it wasn’t actually a very chill season over here. I really rushed to get everything ready for the launch before taking off to Greece for 2 weeks.

Which brings me to what didn’t work during this last launch:

I told you last week that I have a few hypotheseez on why this was far from my best launch.

The first is a little meta, since I was launching a program that teaches exactly this.

Not having a low-ticket front end offer that aligned with and fed into Easy Yes.

This really is what I’m seeing working for clients and peers right now y’all…

Kicking off a launch with a bonkers value low-ticket workshop or challenge where you give a little away and people can get a feel for what it’s like to learn from you AND THEN pitching your mid or high-ticket offer from there.

I had something planned along these lines for this launch but sitting in my Airbnb in Athens with 3 kids and the craziest norovirus ever, I knew I wouldn’t be able to pull it off.

Sometimes you just have to SURRENDER.
(Highly recommend this book if that’s something you struggle with too.)

Unlike last year, my waitlist strategy didn’t really work.

I normally offer my waitlisters the best deal, and this launch was no different. But it didn’t convert like it has in the past. I even sent a personal note to people on the waitlist but the response wasn’t there.
It reminded me of this book that was super popular in my 20s called “He’s Just Not that Into You” 😅 except in this case it was clearly “they’re just not that into this offer”.

I can only assume raising the price was the wrong move.

I added more live sessions and upgraded the program but if anyone was eyeing up the program last time I ran it and saw that the price nearly doubled, that may have scared them off.

Or maybe not. I have no actual data on this one sooo, grain of salt!

On the flipside, here’s what worked well:

Launching a 2nd time and building on assets I created the first time around.

I always try to stress to clients that you owe it to yourself to launch your offers more than once. Even if the first launch doesn’t go amazingly well. You learn, you iterate, you repurpose, and the more you do that, the more you profit.

Any launch after the first is a way lower lift. Despite everything, I still got to make thousands while I was mostly away eating Greek salads, chasing my kids down busy streets in Europe, and celebrating love with my friends and family.

I once again attracted so many repeat customers which makes me incredibly happy.

Clients and students who want to keep coming back for more is my #1 indicator that I’m doing a good job. *Pats self on the back*

Promoting something I really believe can make a huge difference for the people in my world just straight up feels good.

I have done so much work in my life as a copywriter that didn’t feel 1000% aligned and frankly, it sucks.

Doing work you believe in is a massively underrated gift AND it’s half the battle.

Figuring out how to market and sell what you pour your heart and soul into is a whole thang, and I’m right there with ya.

In the end, my philosophy is that you learn by launching and there’s always next time.

I’d love to hear YOUR thoughts on what you liked/didn’t like from this last launch if you were following it.

🧋Loving these journal prompts from Dr. Ben Hardy:

  • Looking back over 2025 so far (back to January 1, 2025) – what are the biggest changes and progress you’ve made in your life?
  • What are the biggest changes and moves you’ve made in 2025, which your past self even in 2024 would not have made? (be specific)
  • What singular and seemingly “impossible goal” could you commit to by January 1, 2026, that would force you to rethink your process and stress-test your current system?

🧋Super neat website if you’re searching for your next big business idea.
